Get assembler output from the source code and benchmark the programs and we'll see what's the fastest. Guessing what one compiler might do is not usable in any way, not even for philosophical matters :) Oh, and as mentioned, don't bother worrying about swaps. PCs are pretty clever and fast these days.

Utrecht is pretty big alright, but there aren't a lot of hostels and similar there. B&B Utrecht.

The interesting part was the trips to the space facilities, I'll see if I can get hold of some pics in some way.

I'm back and the room was alright, not the best place but atleast all 21 could sleep in the same room :) Some place in Utrecht, quite a bit from Delft/Katwijk/Leiden where we were actually going.

Unless I get answers soon enough, I will have to start calling around, haven't spoken English for quite a while though, gonna be fun :P

Slip of doubles, it should have been Noordwijk everywhere...

I'm trying a couple of hostels right now, but finding 21 beds not too far apart is a bit tricky.

Woah, thanks a bunch! But the stuff you listed seems to be hotels, not hoStels. To be more specific, we're going to places close to Nordwiijk and Leiden and it has to be _cheap_. I currently got in contact with St. Christophers in Amsterdam, I don't know yet how many beds they got. EDIT: I've tried ...

Places to stay in Amsterdam

I happen to be a board member in a little society for space freaks at the university I'm in and we've arranged a little trip to ESTEC and other similar places in the Netherlands. Not only am I a board member, I'm responsible for finding a place (or several places) for 21 people to stay two nights (3...

I for one have never seen any dutch word like IJ* in my life. How do people pronounce the name of capital in Sweden, Stockholm? Should I request audio sample and act like a smartass because not everybody pronounces it the way we Swedes do? :) Think about Romanji, Japanese in roman characters, that's...

What compiler are you using? You should get a compiler error because that syntax is simply not valid in Java.

My preference changes very often. I was into Once upon a time in the west not long ago (the theme and guitar "songs"), but lately I've moved over to Yanni and some violinists. The theme for OUATITW is marvelous though, it's probably around my top 5. Dunno what more to put there, "wish...

Some stuff in this topic is weird :) How do you expect to grade a game from a totally unbiased perspective? It's entertainment and it's simply impossible to discuss entertainment without any personal input. (How do you define gameplay?) One way would be to somehow design a system where visitors coul...

"Probably" with respect to the problem. Referring to my last post, A* is a general solution and it can be way too ambitious if you got some restrictions on the path.

All right, that wasn't necessary, but I don't wanna pick up my S.P. "homework" just yet :p
