Re: Touhou Project 83+

I still have no idea how it would be possible to dodge those bullets on hardware. The bullets are there and gone again before they've even faded onto the screen. I think the effort is great and all, it just looks like it would fail miserably if anyone tried to play it anywhere other than an emulato...

Re: Touhou Project 83+

New screenie showing how the engine handles up to 175 bullets and 12 enemies at the same time: http://hentai.student.utwente.nl/lolbullets2.gif You have to use FF3 or Opera, or the screenie will look shitty. I'm guessing the FPS is between 6 and 10, which is a bit choppy but still playable. It might...

Re:

Recently I was forced to install fluxbox on a Linux box, becuase it’s a bit old to handle all the shiny fancy desktop environments (even Xfce). Well, I’m quite amazed. :D The whole thing gives you nothing more than a bunch of workspaces, two menus and of course the usual window decorations, and eve...

Re: space shooter

Like every 2-5 times I run the prog, it changes the graph screen from FUNC to something else but can't be changed back, and the graph still graphs in Y= mode instead of like parametric, even tho it shows parametric (it'll be like X1 =dsdfsdgg Y1 =trgdfgfd, but you can't use "T", which is ...

Re: Touhou Project 83+

Is it even possible to do Bullet Hell on a slow LCD screen? The slow LCD screen made me cancel my smoothscrolling grayscale DW2 project for the TI83. I'd think you'd need to have bullets draw as short, thick line segments, then count the collision only when the far endpoint touches you instead of t...

Re: Touhou Project 83+

Yes, this looks very good... Seeing the menu; is this made in basic  Haha, that would be amazing for basic indeed. I just took an ASM lib that copies the BASIC menu, like unknown_one said, because i'm lazy. (actually I believe that using external routines where possible greatly reduces devel...

Touhou Project 83+

Crosspost from United-TI , pictures might not work. Touhou Project 83+ (updated August 18th) A port of the famous Japanese danmaku (bullet curtain) shoot 'em up game. The game is made primarily for the 83+. It should work on the 83+SE, 84+, 84+SE and nSpire (with 84+ keyboard) because of backwards-c...

It takes little "faith"* (*belief that is not based on proof) to believe in God, but it takes a lot of "faith" to believe there is no God. The beautiful thing about science is that it needs no faith, it just needs your eyes (i remember this being a quote of someone but i can't r...

Useful moral lessons? One only needs to look at http://www.evilbible.com/ to learn(or confirm the suspicion) that the bible is not so morally-correct after all.. It's a very old and very big book. It's bound to be full of stuff that seems morally incorrect today. Obviously taking stuff out of conte...

Guys.. the bible is just a book. It's been translated a couple of times, and it's about 2000 years old (let alone the old testament).
The bible has some useful moral lessons in there, but you cannot read everything in it as fact! Regardless of being religious or not.

What's the hype all about. Never liked the Smash Bros games. Last game I played was the one on the cube and is was horrible. Stop trolling, Super Smash Bros Melee was a great game, and Brawl will be even better. (lol feeding trolls) I hope Ness will be returning, he was my favourite character. Alth...
