Re: TI-84+CE Mode 7 Engine development
How many koopa shells do you think you will be able to handle at once on the race track? I think in the SNES game it's about 3, right? Also a suggestion: You should make the background move faster while turning

Re: TI-84+CE Mode 7 Engine development
Aw hardware revisions can suck, sometimes. D: Hopefully the fix is not too hard to implement.

Re: TI-84+CE Mode 7 Engine development
So I tried the demo you posted on TI-Planet and I'm amazed by it so far. Runs pretty fast on my pre-A hardware CE calc and I haven't gotten any crashes so far with OS 5.6

Re: First Fantasy: Mana Force
Thanks! The custom font program by Iambian definitively opens new possibilities reminiscent of End of Forever by Betasword. However I tried doing the same on a monochrome calculator ROM and I couldn't get tree sprites to look right in 5x7

Re: First Fantasy: Mana Force
Oh! I just noticed that I haven't posted about version 3.0 here. Thanks to Iambian custom font routine and editor, the game now uses sprites on the home screen! https://tiplanet.org/modules/archives/captures/1604004706ffmf20screens.png -You can now quit the game with CLEAR from the title screen. -Th...

Re: COVID-19 - Check-in
It kind of got out of control during the holidays but in recent days daily cases have gone down significantly. Keep in mind we have a curfew now, though (8 PM to 5 AM). With vaccines coming in at an increasing rate I'm kinda optimistic, though.

Re: COVID-19 - Check-in
Over here it got worse in Alberta province, but in Quebec the amount of new cases per day has been steady for almost 3 months now. In my city things seems to get better, though.

Re: COVID-19 - Check-in
We've hit record amounts of daily cases over here as the second wave hits, especially in my city and Montreal, but so far they didn't put everything in lockdown like during the first wave. Stores are open, restaurants offer takeout/delivery and we can go out, but bars, theaters and sport venues are ...

Re: First Fantasy: Mana Force
Nope, for the CE there are different files available than on the C Silver Edition. This is what the C Silver Edition version looks like, by the way: https://img.ourl.ca/ffmfscreens.gif https://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/ss/868/86842.gif The C Silver Edition version uses xLIBC, by tr1p1ea, which i...

Re: TI-84+CE Mode 7 Engine development
Very great tr1p1ea, and that grayscale Mode 7 demo looks cool too. I wonder how many koopa shells will be able to move at the same time on the race track without slowing down too much?

Re: First Fantasy: Mana Force
Thanks for the comments. Yeah the CSE version hasn't been updated but it actually looks better, since it takes advantage of xLIBC. Thankfully DrDnar did not add error checks for everything in his lib so I could do things with CE Textlib that cannot be done normally. Here are some updates: https://im...

Re: The End has finally come - TI removes ASM support
If one day I ever program again, I would probably not mind releasing one more game for the CE. After all, I released Opossum Massage Simulator for the CSE one year after being discontinued. But I'd be more inclined to give HP Prime PPL language another try or learn C.Basic for the Casio fx-CG10/20/5...

Re: TI-84+CE Mode 7 Engine development
By the way, I was wondering if the TI-84+CE has enough memory to allow Mario Kart style courses that are larger than the SNES ones? The SNES ones were on the small side so a lap lasted like 15-25 seconds.

DJ Omnimaga music (electronic)
Aside from TI-84+, TI-84+CSE, CE and HP Prime programming, I also made music and over the years I have reached about 200 original songs of various genres: Eurodance, trance, UK hardcore, happy hardcore, electronic power metal and video game soundtrack. This is my discography and web links Full-lengh...

Re: TI-84+CE Mode 7 Engine development
What is the exact clock speed of the CE in ASM mode by the way?
Also very nice tr1p1ea. Please do backups often this time around so you won't lose progress
