Guitar Hero

Even though there are plenty of dance dance games out there, I am thinking that someone could get very innovative with this, such as flipping the calc on its left side, scrolling the screen horizontally right to left, and making the player hold the calc like a guitar in order to hit the buttons corr...

He's awesome :D. I have been trying to make some sort of placeholder graphic for the engine, but I can use your graphic instead right now. What looks like he needs is body detail, instead of it all shaded in, but that is just my opinion. Edit: I now have horizontal flipping in correlation with zoomi...

Thx Madskillz. @ floodkiller: I'm trying to get this straight, you want me to remake the sprites I just made in 16x16 right? (just wanted to make sure) Could you explain the "zoom" thing a little, I'm kinda cofused. Yes, I need 16x16 sprites. You can make them whatever detail you want the...

The game is being changed from a top down turn based strategy to a 2D side scrolling action game, due to the fact that the pathfinding routine is just too hard for me to figure out.

Well, I have just about given up on making this a top down strategy game due to the fact that the pathfinding formula just seems to be too complex for me to figure it out in BASIC. Not only can I not get it to work at its simplist point, but I am totally confused on how I can make it adjust to more ...

This will make sure your Wiimote doesn't go flying all over the room and breaking something:

Nm, I forgot about your first sprite, and that looks enough like a sniper rifle. By the way, all of those sprites are totally awesome, thanks Homestar! Edit: the post above was when I was still pessimistic this morning because I was almost late for school, I almost forgot my backpack and my gy...

Well, I haven't gotten far enough into programming yet to need your sprites. I still can't figure out how to unbug the pathfinding, and after that I need to develop an enemy AI system that can decide where the nearest cover location is, and to pathfind its way there. After that, I need to work comba...

It can draw others to an interesting title, but you have to have good gameplay to follow it up. Otherwise they won't look twice. But obviously a title like "Crappy Game" isn't going to get you anyone even looking at it even if it is good.

Do you think that I could have a copy of your pathfinding routine so that I could figure out what is wrong with mine? So far I have wasted 5 math classes trying to bust this bug and I still can't work around it.

I've got another idea I just thought of. If it is possible, maybe make it so that it can load and react to matrix data while it is archived so that you could have gigantic maps without using up ram space to load it.

ARRRGHHH!!!! A* is much harder in BASIC than I originally thought. It still runs into a bug that wants it to run through an object rather than take another route that, although the reader displays the same amount of obstacles, leads in the right direction that will then tell the calculator a new rou...

I really don't fanboy to any console, I just fanboy to the games that are excellent. If it happens to be for only a certain console, then I find a way to buy the console so that I can play the crap out of it. For example, I am a Halo fanboy, and Halo is only available on PC or Xbox (Halo 2 only on X...

I would love a Wii, but A) I have no money, and B) It has no zombie games yet :D.

Yes, zombie games. The main reason I am going to own an Xbox 360 first, then a Wii, then a PS3, is Dead Rising.

Unless, of course, it comes out on PC, then screw the Xbox 360 and hello Wii :D.
