hmm, I actually like the idea of calculator model numbers quite a bit. Should we use that?

It's a line we have to walk carefully, I suppose. The rankings can be good because they encourage activity, but if people are too wrapped up in how many posts they have, then it certainly can degenerate into a "pissing contest". I understand your complain about having topics locked/deleted...

I must admit that I have not been around the forums as much as I should be. Unfortunately, the fact that Metroid 83 is an open source and (once completed) will be freely available does nothing to change the fact that it is indeed copyright violation. I'm pretty pissed off right now, as you can imagine - I've put a lot of work into this. I'm not sure about changing the sprit...
