It looks promising ! And indeed, grayscale and scrolling at the same time is quite a challenge. Do you use a programming package of built-in grayscale ?

And isn't it the same engine you showed us some time ago, with a gayscale mario demo ?

The TI community is already spread out (in the bad sense) with dozens of forums all around the web, I guess dividing wikis won't help.

I think it's a great idea. I also think wikiti is under-used. It could be a repository of good programming practices too.

I've tinkered the line display engine so that the mixed up lines no longer appear. Which means that zDoom now fulfills all the requirements to be called version 0.11 \o/ You can grab it here.

This + the video thing on ticalc = MOVIES!!! well ok short clips! Can't wait to watch a 2 seconds movie on my 83  It's a great proof of concept though, I wonder if there's some kind of repository dedicated to this kind of experiments (maybe we could make some room on wikiti ?). edit : I couldn...

The "invisible enemies" bug is solved! The problem was that the routine tthat displays the sprites of the enemies was looping on the area of the memory were enemy data is, but assuming that its size was of 8 bytes/enemy, while in between it has changed to 16... so it only displayed half of...

Is this the same build that i was lucky enough to preview a few weeks ago :)? Yes. It sometimes renders lines and sprites that should be behind you though, but I guess you already knew that. Yes, it's a very bothering bug... I'm adding it in the requirements for the 0.11 version, there must be some...

about HUDs

Here's an interesting article about HUDs : http://www.gamasutra.com/features/20060203/wilson_01.shtml I think it's quite thought-provoking for us who have to struggle to make fit a lot of information into 96*64 screens. Maybe the solution of togglable HUDs is the easiest to implement. Another easy s...

After reading the title, I thought the point of this thread was to propose a wiki for maxcoderz :) I don't know if it's really useful to create one page per programming group, maybe a big page named "TI programming commmunity" would be less cluttered and easier to read.

I'm posting an alpha version of the next zDoom so I can get feedback and some help. Here is what i've done since the 0.10 version : * a "fall to the ground" effect when dying * the game can be now in different "states" : 1) normally reads keyboard input 2) dying 3) dead 4) others...

Ubuntu is amazing, I tested the Dapper (unstable) liveCD version yesterday, and when I made my printer work in 4 clicks (no exaggeration) I thought it was really ready fo the end users. ... Unless the end user has hardware for which no free driver has been written, of course  For older hardwar...
