It seems to be difficult to get the black or gray COM cable to work with WinXP SP2 and TI83+(SE). Now I cant transfer apps anymore. Any ideas how to solve this?
Try using the latest version of TI Connect, and make sure you run it as an Administrator. If you want to use GraphLink, you still need TI Connect as it installs a service which is needed for direct COM port access in NT-based OSes.
If you have a ti-83+SE shouldn't you have the silver USB cable? If you use that and plug it in, it should automatically get the drivers from it, if not, go to Add New Hardware and let it detect it. But if you don't, then I don't know..
I didnt get the USB-cable for the ti83+se, dunno why, but never mind. I'll try the newest TI-Connect. (crap, I hate TI's homepage, please post me an url, lazy me) Thanks.
If and only if you had the SP2 installer make backup files when you installed it. If your computer came with SP2, there's no chance in hell short of reformatting and using an SP0 or SP1 CD to install Windows.
