I bet...
I bet Ben didn't give this website permission to mirror his game...
Or Joe Wingbermuehle, Sam Heald, Kerm Marian...
Oeh, CoBB is even there with Death Rally...
And I see Gemini, Joltima...
Why on earth does scholieren.be think it can just go ahead and host all those games? :S

Yes, I expect that from individuals who want to put a few nice games on their calc websites, but this kinda surprised me because it's such a big website, and they have put so many games online, without even linking to their sources

I dont think that hosting games is a bad thing, altough some authors might not like it since their dll stat would not increase as much as before, but dll stats arent really important. Games reviews, however, are. There is one thing I hate though: sometimes instead of putting the games on their site, people will link them to other sites. This save space, but what if the other site shut down, all links stop working. I hate browsing a site, see a cool calculator game, click on it and get to a 404 error page

I don't think there's anything wrong with hosting other peoples games aslong as the credit is given to the author and there's no hotlinking. Though, I don't think linking to the game url on ticalc.org should realy matter. I would imagine that programers would be pleased to know their games are being publicized. Besides, many new people in the TI-community are not aware of the vast archives of games on ticalc.org,especially the older ones.

Well, the problem I have with this is that it's impossible to reach your users. I actually prefer hotlinking, because then I can at least update my files.
When I upload something to Ticalc.org, I know where it goes, and how to update it, how to check if it's popular. But when people start copying and decentralizing things, I lose track of who downloads what from where. Yet I am the one who gets all the stupid e-mails complaining that something doesn't work for someone, when they are using outdated version x and do not know the location of the website that explains how they should use it
That may not really be a problem with something that's self explainatory and done when you upload it, like a pacman game, but my projects tend to be under constant development...
