Help with TiLP

Post by Shadow Phoenix »

I have Windows. I have Tilp. I also have Ti-84+se . I have a black cable connecting USb -> Usb
I have installed the drivers So it says: TI-GRAPH/DIRECT LINK USB.
When I try to do anything it thinks for a second " calculator stops responding" and then it says :
"
Msg: Invalid host ID.
Cause: TiLP received an unexpected Machine ID, probably due to a transmission error.
"

I don't think TiLP supports the 84+ direct USB on Windows yet.

I could be wrong, though. I don't really have a reason to find out.

I just wish people still used the blacklink cables... I get all sorts of "when are you porting xxx to USB?" queries. Serial is nice and easy to code for.
(Also known as: I have no idea how to control USB).

Doesn't work that way when new computers don't have RS-232 ports. -_-

ok I got a Grayscale cable. Tried to send /recieve files. It works smoothly/perfect. However when I attempt a Rom dump it gives me this error :
"Msg: Checksum error.
Cause: a transmission error. Try again."
And so I have to reset my calc by pulling the batteryies. Once I got 10K out of 512, but that was my max.

Ok I tried it on Ti-83+ non silver and it still gives me the same error. It transfers the Rom Dumping program all right, but when I do ASM(Rom83P it crashes and just displays 0 K out of 512K .
So does anyone has an ASM program sending Rom to ANY ports?

DUmping the ROM should normally take around 30 minutes with VTI, just wait one minutes at least to see if it will increase at 1%

Which ROM do u have? Try to not dump anything higher than version 1.12, as VTI only support 1.12. If you are going to use this rom with Alpha make sure you have 1.14 or lower
