Does the ProgHelp system work?

Post by kv83 »

Hello,

as you all noticed we use a new system for topics in the Programming Help section, since the 'revival' of our new board.

I wanted to know what your opinion is about this. Is it working?

For myself, I think it's quite good. People find answeres more quickly and the topic itself indicates more precisly what the topic is about.

I like the way we make topic title with [TI-ASM], [TI-BASIC], [TI-MLC],[VTI], etc :)

I do think it helps keep it more organized, though I think you might be a little anal about the topic titles. You changed my topic about web site security when I thought it was perfectly fine. But, all that work does make it easier to browse through and find past answers.

It does help (in some cases) to find out whether they need help with ASM or BASIC quickly.

Sometimes, tho, its hard to determine what kind of a topic it is, like is it just an ASM algorithm or is it more of an algorithm in general? :-/.

Id say it helps a little.

I like it, but I do agree that you are a bit too eager to stick to the standard. Like [PHP/MySQL] had to become [PC SQL]... :)
