TI-Calculator Wiki open!

Post by Andy_J »

WikiTI (http://wikiti.denglend.net/) is now open for business. It's only for 83+ family assembly for now, but we hope to expand to other calculators in the future (we'll need some help from people experienced with those other calculators).

Please read the contribution guidelines before editing or adding any information.

It looks like it's just for TIOS documentation only? Hmmm.. Not exactly what I had in mind for a TI-Programming wiki. As much as I'd like to see a general TI-ASM wiki (not specific to TIOS), it would be quite counterproductive to make two wikis.

I was thinking about a wiki to put general programming information, useful routines, having bored people edit other people's buggy code, etc.
You know your hexadecimal output routine is broken when it displays the character 'G'.

I think it would be okay to have two wikis, Andys will limited to ti83+ for a while and only ti-o. A general ti z80 wiki would be good for those who don't like using tios(bcalls are EVIL :evil: )

I would like to see one Wiki for both Dwedits and AndySoft ideas. Personally I favor general routines and ways of thinking above tios specific documentation because general routines and explanation (sprites, tilemaps etc) are pretty rare and can be more of a help than tios specific information which is already present in large amount on forums and websites.

Yeah buty it's still good that andy and jman gonna setting up a gathering point, Ti-os is b*tch to work with, maybe this will spur a on resreach in tios.

But coding explanations is a good idea to, mapper, the linking, everything in prgming help should be smoothed out for site.

I agree, a more general TI-related wiki would be great, I don't understand why you restrain this wiki to the TI-83+ series.

I agree... It would be more useful if it covered all z80 calculators, and not just the OS's but also useful routines in general or calculator specific.

I really like the way it works by the way... never worked with a Wiki before, but it's really easy :) Added some link port info/cleaned up the examples 8)

OK, I personally want us to get to that point once we get the data coming in. We just don't want to have to make a skeleton for everything if no one is going to use it.

Well, at the current rate people are using it, I think I'll be inclined to expand the skeleton within a week or so.

If you really want to, go ahead and make the skeleton pages for the other calculators. You can't link them in to the Calculator Documentation page (it's protected), but we'll see it on the Recent Changes page and will link it up.

Added Ti-83 pages...
May I suggest this Calculator_Documentation page:

Code: Select all

Calculators
* Ti-83
* Ti-83+ series
<br>

General Z80 Calculators
* Various Routines
<br>
