Yeah, I used to play MTG. I played it 3 years or something ending up with an "affinity deck". The Mirrodin mainstream one :).
I'm not buying any card anymore, because my friends stopped playing and I lost interest. Maybe later again...

I play the "paper version" since Ice Age came out, stopped playing somewhere around 7th edition, and since Mirrodin block I'm in again!

I now have 11 decks I regularly play with at the store. I like a little variety :)
Now I only need a black lotus *lol*

Sadly, I don't have MTGO...

BTW: Gotta kill Yu-Gi-Oh! and Duel Masters. That's kiddie stuff.

I love Dissension's Rakdos...got a deck wirth about $40 including the tutor, the blood witch, rat catcher, stalking vengance, nihilistic glee, and quite a few other hard to find cards. It works rather amusingly, I get a certain set of cards going and I hit you with shades and rats, if you block them to kill them then I sacrafice them to do more damage to you than you blocked. Also have a few ways to draw additional cards.

I could never get into these kinds of games for some reason ... probably because i never had a real shot at it. I have heard about MTG for ages but i never played it ... perhaps i should one day.

Yep. Grab a friend who plays it and ask him to explain the basic rules to you. Maybe he's even kind enough to make you a magic deck from his spare cards to start it off.

Once you got the knack of it, grab MANY friends and play a FFA multiplayer game with 10 players. Now that's real magic. But ban mass removal. Getting your creatures killed all the time by wrath of god variants suckz.
