Well it was meant for midwesterners and some of the US people...I didn't mean like people like Tr1p, it would be way to costly to for plan tickets, but I suppose we can smuggle him by boat....hmm. Perhaps an American one and a European one. Get out the digital cameras and we can have a thread here showing pics of everybody together and stuff...would be pretty fun. Maybe eveb Ticalc.org could see the first Calc con...and show the world!

Poor tr1p. On a continent all by himself (I think).
California > New York
Unfortunately, the last time I was there (Santa Barbara actually) it was when they had all that rain in January. It was funny because nobody knew what to do, and I would see people looking out the windows like they've never seen rain before. Bunch o' wimps.
So, the proposed locations are:
California (SB?)
Dallas
Cedar Point (Sandusky, OH)
New York
Amsterdam

What about Chicago? Well, for the Americans here, at least. Because Chicago's pretty much right in the middle of everything.
Plus, I live semi-close to Chicago. and have a driver's license
Actually, how many people here would actually be able to semi-realistically attend a calc-con in Chicago, or someplace close to Chicago?

Grr, there's no way I could get to Chicago. I STILL like the several simultaneous meetings + webcams idea. Then there could be one in Chicago or Ohio, one in Cali, and one in New York, plus the ones in Europe. I wonder: Kevin, could you get to New York? Anyways, this way tr1p and others could still log on and actually see everybody, and if he has a mike or webcam he could chat with each con. If we just had a couple people drag comps to each con, then each instance of the con could have real-time videoconferencing with all the other cons.

hm
Well, when i'm grown up and out of college/uni (if i'm gonna do college/uni) i'm probably gonna move to US and visit everyone of the TI community that i want to visit (also the guys in Europe, and not sure about tr1p1ea yet). Of course i need to earn the money first to be able to do that... I'm probably gonna start a games company with gimpynerd and some other guys (maybe Mathew Brenaman) when i'm in US. I cant wait till then!
