UTI members are member of UTI, the rest ("normal members") are people with a forum account. They also get an optional e-mail address (membername@unitedti.org), the ability to upload programs on the front page, and some have the ability to post news messages on the front page. They can also apply for modship and ultimately a staff position.

ImageNot really relevant towards the point. A technicality. :)

I wouldn't call 4000+ posts empty regardless of how many posts there are here anyway.

Look, MC is great. It is the perfect forum if you wanna get into the ti community and meet some programmers, check out some sweet games/projects, and just discuss anything calc related. Plus other interesting topics among this forum too.

UTI is also great, to talk about projects, BASIC programming, it isnt all about the community (But that is fine too). All and all, these are both great sites about the calcs.

These are my opinions, so dont argue because of them for another 3 pages please...

Well, I think the only reason why I'm on maxcoderz more is because I found it first (TVF had a link in the readme). I don't think either forum is superior to the other, it's just that I've been here longer- and not even that long either. UTI I only really go to to check on the sonic game which I am greatly anticipating. :D

If you didn't noticed we only have one forum to talk about non-calc related stuff... I hope you did notice when looking through the forum index

There is no 'Flame UTI' topic. I wonder where you got the idea of that. Also the sig I made for fun, whether you believe me or not, is not the cause of that topic, as you could see if you read the whole topic.

Your arguments getting weaker and weaker :o

I used to respect MaxCoderz as a programming group, when i saw those great projects you made, like the Greyscale stuff and Metroid (:D :D :D). Until i actually started going here, when the new forum was online. Now i don't like MaxCoderz anymore. Of course, the projects are still as awesome as before, maybe even more awesome with Mario and stuff, but the UTI flaming, like 'they're 50% off-topic, that's soooo bad' made me dislike this forum more and more.

This topic is getting more and more pathetic... * yawn *

"You suck"
"No I don't, I did this and this and this"
"That still sucks compared to us"
"I'm... Hey, you're flaming me!"
"No I'm not!"
"Yes you are"
"No I'm not!!"

When is someone finally going to lock it..? Please, go annoy each other in a public chatroom or somewhere else we don't need to see it...

Were it not for that 'elitist teenager' thing, which has been blown far out of proportion, there would not now be 11 pages in the 'Flame UTI' topic.
Not to mention taken out of context, it should be read as "we're not a bunch of elitist teenagers like they have over at the maxcoders forum.". But kv's sig is just a joke anyway. However, kv, I don't think he means just your signature when he says "that 'elitist teenager' thing".
Your arguments getting weaker and weaker :o
That's what happens when you ignore the real arguments. This wasn't even an argument.

Leofox, I don't think saying you no longer respect maxcoders as a programming group is going to help.

When are you finally going to notice we got the message? Please, go annoy people in a public chatroom or something else we don't need to see it. ;)

Not to mention that you don't need to see it if you don't open it.

Appearently you did not get the message, since you still felt the need to keep bashing on in the same post...

I go the message but do you seriously think that in this situation of a perfectly fine debate I'm going to comply with your request?

Obviously, you didn't comply with my very same request, in fact, you're not even complying with your own request. I suggest you start with that, then we'll see if others, including me, decide to follow.

Do I smell a contradictio interminis? Oh yes, I think I do...

I think I see now how people get so pissed at you. You're childish and your logic makes no sense, making you feel good about yourself while everyone shakes their heads and walks away. I enjoy a good discussion, but there is no discussion going on in this topic! Just pointless talk about the topic itself and some MC/UTI flaming... That's not a perfectly fine debate, Arcane! And THAT was my message, which you obviously did not get.

I don't see a "contradictio in terminus" where do you "smell" one?

How am I childish? How does my logic not make any sense? How am I making myself feel good at the expense of others?

I always thought unsupported blatant accusations like those right there where childish and not discussing with arguments and logic. That's correct, right?

If you want to I can explain to you how not to get pissed off by this discussion, or pointless talk and MC/UTI flaming as you put it.

I also don't see how it's obvious that I didn't get that message. I did get that message, I understand you think this is just pointless and flaming, but I disagree with your message and since one of the forum's administrators himself has said this topic is fine and there's no reason to close it (yet, of course, things can always change) I have the freedom to disregard your message.

If disagreeing with something or choosing not to obey someone's requests is "not getting it" then yes, ok, I can see how I'm "not getting it."

You claim to have gotten the message, yet call it a perfectly good discussion, without mentioning how or why it would be a good discussion. But perhaps you did get the message, but you chose to ignore it's point. I'll take back the contradictio statement then...
How am I childish? How does my logic not make any sense? How am I making myself feel good at the expense of others?
Childish: You never seem to take a step back, you appear to think you're always right, you seem to always take the bate, are very affraid people might mean something in a bad way, et cetera...
Logic: You tend to confuse logic with presentation. It seems any discussion with you on whatever subject degrades to a struggle about style, spelling, a debate over what arguments are and what not... "Mierenneuken" is what we call that in the Netherlands.
Feeling good: I didn't say "at the expense of others". What I meant was that I expect most people to think "whatever, there's no talking to you" after a few posts from you, leaving you with a false sense of victory.
I always thought unsupported blatant accusations like those right there where childish and not discussing with arguments and logic. That's correct, right?
Yes, but such responses are triggered when there's no discussion but just slinging with mud at each other like this.
If you want to I can explain to you how not to get pissed off by this discussion, or pointless talk and MC/UTI flaming as you put it.
No thanks, I'm quite capable of ignoring something, just chose not to do so...
I also don't see how it's obvious that I didn't get that message. I did get that message, I understand you think this is just pointless and flaming, but I disagree with your message
How can you disagree..? There's no discussion here! If you disagree, please do tell me what the topic of this discussion might be? And what are the different sides and most common arguments?
and since one of the forum's administrators himself has said this topic is fine and there's no reason to close it (yet, of course, things can always change) I have the freedom to disregard your message.
You have the freedom to do anything, and I don't understand how kv can call this discussion constructive, nevertheless I have the freedom to request that this topic is locked, or ask people to stop posting.
If disagreeing with something or choosing not to obey someone's requests is "not getting it" then yes, ok, I can see how I'm "not getting it."
Again; if you disagree that there's no discussion, please show me what discussion there might be here?
