like the super triple jump you get at the end of mario 64, or when you buy better parts for you're car on a lot of racing games, or the upgrades you get on age of empires/starcraft/other rts's, or ....
RPG is actually a very loose term, like, it could mean Rocket Propelled Grenade, it could be the computer language that generates programs from the user's specifications, or Role Playing Game, which Wikipedia says is: "...a type of game where players assume the roles of fictional characters via role-playing. In fact, many non-athletic games involve some aspect of role-playing; however, role-playing games tend to focus on this aspect of behaviour."
And I like that definition...
Yes, but in Halo you take on the role of Master Chief, and that's not an rpg. In Metal Gear series you play the role of Snake, and that's not an rpg either. You get the idea.
"You're very clever, young man, but it's turtles all the way down!"
Lol, this would mean that TVF and Reign of Legends are not RPGs, since you cannot name your characters .
Actually "Omnimaga: Your Calculator RPGs Headquarter" doesn't mean that games here are pure RPGs. There is actually small chances that I add Enders Game and Harvest Moon, just not Mario, Gemini and Lotus Turbo challenge

Actually I wouldn't call games like Harvest Moon (and Animal Crossing, Sims, etc) RPG's. I would call them life-simulator. ... On the other hand, RPG's are also simulations in a certain way
