If he has a lot of archived variables, he could very well not have enough free RAM. Each archived variable takes some RAM. How much, I'm too lazy to remember right now.

I don't know any technical details of this, but when a program wont load from mirageos and it just flashes white then back to mirage, I unarchive and then re archive the program and it works. This is on a black 83+ and it works, so maybe it's something with mirage, just try it, couldnt hurt.

1.2 made it not even blink the screen, it would just refuse to try to run it. Or is that the 1.3 beta.... Hmm...

Well for one thing parasite eve is a BASIC game, so unless they put the colon in the first line of the code, it isn't going to show up in Mirage.
Second...try running Desolate in CrunchyOS http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fi ... 32507.html
Try it there also, if it doesnt work there, I dont know what the problem is, unless like stated by some others, you dont have enough RAM...even though you say you have enough...

You COULD edit the basic progs yourself...it isn't very hard(add a colon in for the first line) and I do it for every single one I have. :)

thecheat, you didnt do what i said, you didnt reset your ram and i never said send Desolate.8xp to the archive. Also why did you send Desolate.8xp twice?

Follow the steps i laid out earlier and see what happens.

ok any ways yes there are no varibles and the memory(ram) is as completely free as posible (nothing left to delete)
ok i tryed the unarchive-archive trick an it still did nothing
unfortiuneatly crunchy os doesnt work on my ti84se calc (nor really any other os besides omnicalc(yeah i have tryed most of em))
also... umm......i...dont......know.......how .......to......edit or.......program......programs

and i will try the steps again tr1p1ea also if it doesnt work this time explain the steps in very good detail

Well, it isn't hard at all to edit BASIC programs, but I think with your limited knowledge of this kinda stuff, I think it is best not go into great detail with it. You know you gotta send CrunchyOS as an APP right? I just wanna make sure you know that.

ok sorry i finally got desolate working so ill be back for uestions on thoseother games in a day or two after beating desolate

ok well i beat desolate in probably record time(>1hour(using map)) so now other games how do you get the verdinte forest working because thats a huge file!!!(also thanks for all the help on desolate what i did to get it working was i archived it by going to ARCHIVE then MEM then MEM/DELETE and picked out all the desolate files and it worked!!)

You used the map ... probably not thebest idea but hey. The game really doesnt take that long to beat, its only when people get stuck
