I use Ultra-Edit for all of my coding and then more. I can edit and compile my GBA, calculator and pc programs with one keypress.

You can edit, compile all of those program with just 1 key? :).

vim in xterm, normally 4 xterms in a grid with 2-3 vims open and the rest for cmd-line stuff. In Windows, I don't know, haven't used it for some time :)

I typed this entire sentence with 1 key, because i used a text editor :).

I really havent thought about using a text editor ... notepad has just always been there ...

I use the good ol' Notepad...it works fine and dandy for me! :D

I use Ultra-Edit(or?), but I havn't quite gotten around to the z80, I write for PIC microcontolers, and I use it for BASIC and ASM.

i just use notepad, it works fine. I didn't even know that there are color-coded editors until now :P

Me either.... I really prefer edit over note pad because it gives line numbers... I'm a sad being. :oops:

well if you want lines for notepad goto this site and its a notepad replacment with color and lines etc. its very effective and i love it :P

Since no one has mentioned it, Crimson Editor has Control+Number shortcuts you can make do things like compile, debug, or send the file.

text pad has been sufficient for asm. thats the glory of it.

I just use Crimson Editor. To me, it is pretty amazing and easy for me to code with.
