I know when you get into more than 4 shades of gray some of the darker and lighter shade look pretty similar on calc. Is the method you're using for 7 shades any different from 8? Glad you're still working on this Tr1p. :)

Thanks Timendus :).

Yeah Arty, the method im using for 7lvl is quite different and as such it works near flawlessly on SE calcs from early testing.

Wow, I'm quite surprised! I'll be interested in seeing how it looks. Does 7 level gray require 15 mhz, or will it work on 6 mhz as well?

Yep, the game only operates at 6MHz.

Wait, you're running this in 6Mhz mode? I assumed that since you were testing it on the SE calculators that you were utilizing 15Mhz. If it looks good on the SE calcs using 6Mhz mode that's great news!

Yeah the interrupt timing is handled by crystal timers on the SE calcs so it is independant of the CPU (somewhat). Gameplay speed for BE calcs is the main reason its running at 6MHz. Suffice to say at this stage it seems to be fast enough.

Also been messing with 9lvl grayscale on the side lol. - Its ironic that the 9lvl GS is quite superior to 8lvl quality speaking O_o.

That is gorgeous...that has got to be one of the best looking calc games I have ever seen. The keypad input is was better, the graphics look fantastic. This "director's cut" is awesome. I'm glad to see this being worked on still Tr1p, keep it up man it is coming together nicely!

Thanks man :).

There was a more 'mobile' version in the works ... but that will have to wait until this is complete :).

Hey tr1p! :)

Thanks man, I'll be trying my best with AB5 to stay as true to the Amiga originals as possible. Which is what I should've done 10 years ago lol

The updated version of Desolate is looking really sweet!
