I agree with the zero g thing as its not going to follow so closely. I would like it best if the game was to your story and not thiers, as I wouldn't know about the story.

I think making the games story line and what not yourself is actually a better idea than having to go off of a book.

I just finished reading the book last night
are there going to be heavy gravity areas like stars or planets?

I've been thinking about it.... that would be difficult to code however. Planets and asteroid and such will probably be in there, but it's doubtful whether there wil be gravity.
