Well, I think it would be awesome! If it works with z80's it should work with 68k's too right? Someone could make like a picto-chat for calculators!

I dunno, but 30ft would be more than enough for general purposes. :)

With bluetooth you're generally looking 15-30 feet clearway.

Wow, this is interesting. I've experimented with IR quite a bit, and played with the idea of using WLAN, but BlueTooth slipped my mind :) But then again, back when I did those IR experiments Bluetooth wasn't really affordable yet anyway :P

Good to see someone else is working on networking gadgets :)
is there a way to make a split link port?
In short: No. You'd better make a Bluetooth speakerset ;)

I did IR with a basic chat and then with that DetachedSolutions one (was it calc sys?) but It was expensive and I only had about a 10 foot range.

I haven't had much time to code these days. School takes up all my time but it is the weekend so I bet I can squeeze in an hour or two depending on my schedule which won't be decided til I am invited to places. So likely I won't have time to program at all.

I am hoping that the distance will be worldwide   , but logically speaking it will be about 20-30 feet cuz of bluetooth limitations. The main reason for this is texting friends in class or getting games to eachother during class and playing them. Which I would love to do like co-op campaign for gemini or something   .

Perhaps we could make a protocal alike to the Nintendo's one for DS and Revolution (well, I assume the Revoluton will use it) so we could use WiFi for worldwide connection.
