The United-TI Basic Contest is now open for registration. You can register here and read about it here. The topic chosen (I don't know why someone would vote for it, but apparently it was very popular) is Strategy Type Game. The official rules will be posted on September 1.
Hell yeah, I've been working on Ender's Game for two years! That's great that it happens to be a strategy game when I've already had one in the making!

Go ahead, but remember this is Basic. I think turn based would be easier.

No.

You can't enter a game you've started before the contest. I thought this would be obvious. If you submit a game that took you the past two years to make, obviously you're going to have an unfair advantage over someone who's just started.
hehehe, I thought you guys were talking about that prank contest with the "must comment every line of code" type of program... oh well, glad to see that THAT wasn't the contest

Oh yeah, you're right... sorry, that was stupid.

I have a good idea, a game me and my friends made up. Dont worry, we played it on paper and it was never made into a calulator game, or even though about for 5 years. But i want to know if I can write assembly programs to handle graphics/map type things. I dont want to start until I know.
