I managed to get pj64 to run sm64 at 600-700fps on a 640x480 window using my 2600+ (before it got fried), with the same vid card (64mb geforce4 mx420). That, was FUNNY.

PJ64 I tried to get but it didn't work well. I use ZSNES and some emulator for Genesis. PJ64 is kind of worthless after Revolution comes out.
Long retired from this forum. For all of those who are still coding here back from the days I posted, rock on.

Ben, you forgot PindurTI :).

Toaster you almost had me worried there.

Just a general warning to everyone, dont talk about or request roms.

I am going to 'assume' that any previous talk about roms was regarding legally aquired roms (If there is such a thing).

I dunno, in my opinion, the best emulators are:

genecyst: sega genesis on windows 98(will not run on XP)
dgen: sega genesis on XP(laggy on my 98 compy)
zsnes: supernintendo- definitely the best snes emulator for all computers
visualboy advance: GBA/GBC/GB games (also kinda laggy on my 98 compy)
pj64: best n64 emulator- tho don't try it on slow computers. :P (horrible on my 98 compy)
fceu: best nes emulator for all compys

...and the roms aren't illegal if you own an actual copy of the game, so even tho I don't have an n64, some people do. ;) (I will not that say I have *cough*everysingle*cough* n64 rom)
bananas... o.o

Spengo, downloading a rom for a game that you already own is not legal. You must dump its YOURSELF. Even still the legality of such a thing is foggy.

I dont want to see any more discussion about roms.

Wasn't there a site that got the licensing to sell old roms at a cheap price.

That kinda brings up a good question, what well the pricing be like on the revolution rom downloading.

I'd be happy with
$0.25 = NES
$1.00 = SNES
$2.00 = N64

But I could settle with
$1.00 = NES
$2.50 = SNES
$5.00 = N64

But going higher than that I probably won't want to pay for it.

Even that second pricing is really a deal. Just recently I've seen snes games on ebay going for $15-25, N64 $15-35, but if nintendo gave a license to a web site like what I go to, it would be cheaper because you don't have to pay for the cart, and all the extra plastic.

Revoultion games that are sold for less than $50 I would really be suprised, but you do have the games that sell cheap just because they come from small developers

We will just have to wait and see...
