Methsoft is right, they are different. Captilism and comunism being the polar ends of the econmic systems, the US would be between a command and capitalist system. NOT PURELY capitalist. Lately(like past hundred years) we all seem to be moving more towards the center depending on our needs. In some cases a comunistic system would be a better choice. But when in the center trade ad export a capitalist view can raise the standards of living rather than just maintaining them.

Opec is still in control of that oil, in other words NO DISCOUNT. Bush was just itching for a fight, misdirect retaliation from 9/11 is the likely cause.

OH and comunism is both a political and economic system.

The total lack of a government is called ANARCHY.

Fair enough, but in the orriginal idea of communism there was no government, though that idea has been perverted throughout the years...
Anarchy works good in theory too, except the inevitable chaos thing...
