How to hide programs/apps?

Post by btvenom »

ok well is it possible to make a program that after u go into the 2nd, Mem, 7 (Reset), Right 2 times (ALL), that after u do that after it says Mem Cleared (blah blah blah) that when u go to programs w/ prgm key etc... or apps it shows nothing on the calc, and it does'nt clear ur memory?

P.S. I understand this would deffinetly be very complex Asm code if this was able to be done. I dont really know asm.. ive tried to learn it. did'nt go to well. ended up crashin my f***ing calc... and i had to go buy a new one... but then i eventually fixed. it which pissed me off. but yeah ill keep u posted and check up on this every day.

can someone please point me to a program/app to hide applications for the ti-83+? i really need this soon it would have to be something that has a pass or would'nt reset after RAM clear etc... mirage shows progs after ram clear plz help me i need this really soon. post here i will keep notice of this or email me at btvenom@yahoo.com, or IM me on "CJClimber" or my msn is "btvenom" please keep me updated. thanks very much

Although you can't "hide" Apps, you can (with a little hook-programming) display a fake screen. To my knowledge, nothing of the sort has been made yet though, so I can't point you to anything...

could we get omnicalc or another app to hide all programs and apps? etc...? with out coming back after ram clear or forced mem clear?
but i still want the data to be there after Mem Clear (so make the person think it's real but it's fake)

There is _NO WAY_ that anything that would hide stuff would survive a RAM clear. Even if it's using a hook, that hook would be cleared with the reset.

If you guys have stuff _THAT IMPORTANT_ on your calc that you don't want your teacher to delete (*WHICH THEY HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO DO SO*), back up your calc regularly. Now, if you're trying to do it because of your "friends", that's your problem. Time to get new friends.

If you write your own TI OS not a shell, you should be able to make it do anything you want it to do hide apps, program menus like what windows uses.

Have fun if you go that way!!!!

There was something for the TI82 a while ago called "Where are my progs?". It used an interrupt routine to hide/unhide all programs whenever you hit Left+Right simultaneously, but they still took up memory at the mem screen.
You know your hexadecimal output routine is broken when it displays the character 'G'.

Well, I don't see how that could survive a memory reset, especially since he 82 just has RAM.
