I think a HUD up at the top would do nicely, y'know? Like have a floating bar for the health, then a few boxes in the top-left corner for the weapons and misc. stuff. Make it like the Unreal Tournament 2k3 GOTYE HUD, with the weapon icon and the ammo beneath it. Just an idea

Dragonwarrior333: Joe said he probably won't release any more screenshots until it's done. Whether he stays to that word I don't know, but he seemed a bit serious about it.

Yeah, from what I gather Joe has a lot of other stuff going on, I expect another 6 months to a year before a completed product is released. Imagine how most commercial games these days take a year or so, with a team of 10-30 programmers. Even the old NES games had huge long credits because so many people worked on them, and it still took a year to do. Now imagine one college kid doing the entire project himself (well, I guess two in this case) in his free time. Finishing in 3 years is remarkable, especially considering that it is written in assembly language.

I must agree, it is amazing things like this are being done by college and in some cases, high school kids in their spare time. I find this hard to do, for lack of motivation and inspiration, and to see these guys go after it day after day is really amazing. Good luck Spencer and Joe and all the other guys with really big projects, whether it be BASIC or ASM.
