Space Station Pheta

Post by threefingeredguy »

Has anyone ever played the classic mac game "Space Station Pheta"? its old enough that you could get a mac os 7.1 emu on ur pc for free cause i bet a system 7.1 emu is not really in demand anymore so you can get it free easy.

if anyone wants to dl a free mac emulator or happens to find a pc version, play it and tell me f you think it would be a good calc port. I personally love the game, and im looking forward to start development when me and the unknown one finish our rpg.

I picked up Mac OS around 8.5, but I still might have seen it. Who was the developer?

I remember that pack! Although not that particular game. "Continuum" was my favorite. I don't know if "Temple of Ra" was part of it, but I liked that one, too.

Are you talking about porting pheta to the calc...? That would be a very easy game to convert to grayscale...right...? That would be a fun game it looks fun.

and..
3) Tiny dude apparently looks quite similar, and since I have a full sheet of animated frames for tiny dude, it'd be even easier to port!

..Right? :?

Ok i sat down yesterday at 3 and programmed straight till the power went out at 9. i made a working version you can go up and down ladders, across platforms and die if you fall too far/onto spikes. i still need to add in jumping, tubes, Oxygen, bonus points, lives, keys, doors, trampolines, destructible boxes, and teleporters. but that means regular blocks, ladders, and spikes are done, as well as the mapper. so id say im 50% done, which is good for a 6 hour programming stretch with a 1 hour family guys break. Thanks to darkauron for his tiny dude sprites. ill post some screen shots soon. sooner than the harry potter ones, that project is encountering problems.

beta with first level is ready. I tested it thoroughly and found no bugs execpt 1 time, but it wasnt a calc crashin bug. i died after falling only a small amount as opposed to a larger distance.

does anyone want to test it? its not redy for a real release like on cg or ticalc.org, but i am willing to upload the beta for you guys to test and make suggestions on. 1 reply will get it posted.
