I don't care how the game is made so long as it looks and runs okay. Usually if they're BASIC, good games use libs. :o I don't see anything bad about them.

Well, I use asm libs as little as I can, because I want to see how far I can push BASIC. But as I stated earlier, there are somethings for z80 that aren't possible in basic...

lol, my next project is that, sorta, but uses 'hex' stored in a string and places it on the screen...

Well, great news for those of you that care! I have constructed a simple battle routine for this upcoming beta. I only have a few more simple things to program in, and it will be ready for the next release! I am hoping to have it ready by Friday, with complete documentation and everything. :)

The only thing to code in now isthe command RENT and to fix a small bug within the battle routine. I should have the actual game released sometime today.

Wow, been a while since I posted about this...

Got some ideas on integrating magic into battles, using scrolls. You have to use the magic so many times to have learned it, and then you have to then use it enough to keep the usage points above 0 so not to forget it. :)

I shall post more of this as I get more definite info available.
