Yes, DDR. For the calc. As in lots of arrows flying up and up and driving you insane. Things I'll be implementing:

–Trigger Arrows that change to the 'beat'
–Smooth scrolling (not just move every beat, like this does)
–LOTS of songs (at least 50 or so)

–All types of trickiness that DDR features, like..

YES! most definitely. I have tried the other one before and it sucks. Make sure to have the other types of arrows like 8th notes and 16th notes and 3rds! These are the best songs: break down; burning heat; end of the century; tsugaru. Be sure to include those!
Btw, STAY AWAY from anything captain jack. captain jack is EVIL!

I'm not going to worry about step sets for songs yet, right now I just need to get randomly-generated scrolling arrows to work.

Will you have real sound, like with a plugin and headphones?

Real music isn't even considered at this point, *maybe* in the future but I don't see it happening. Sorry 'bout that.

Screenies are fun! So does that mean I bring fun? Maybe. First is the engine at work, second is the titlescreen that's generally going to look like that, but I'm still working on it. Enjoy, and I shall bring future updates! 8) (for those who are sincere, it's 5:01am and I've been working on this for many hours tonight ) And remember kids, screenies shown are smoother than they appear!

Nice! So this is why you needed the timer/pixel problem solved i presume.

One thing: i dont think the arrows that move are supposed to cover the arrows at the top. You may already be working on fixing this seeing as its there in the screenie.

Nice title also

Ah looks good :). I do see that you have some white border around the arrows, haven't you drawn a good mask yet or is that supposed to be there?
