[LOOM] Contest: Redesign my rock!

Post by L4E_WakaMol-King »

I wasn't really sure where to put this... since it's a pixel art contest about Loom, so I put it in here cause the forum feels a bit empty.

Here is the contest.

Image

As you can see from this screenshot, my rock sprite sucks. This contest is to re-design my rock sprite. It's 16 x 16, b/w.

The prize is twofold. If you're not already on on the Loom Special Thanks list, you will be added. If you are already on it, you will be moved higher on the list. Also, you'll get 10 MaxCoins. :)

Thanks in advance to all who enter!

Here is that mock screenshot:

I dont know if you will only be using 1 rock sprite ... perhaps it would be better to mix it up a little (if you can afford the space).

Cheeseball ftw! :).

Yeah i just opened CalcGS, drew some outlines and then did some quick clicky shading ... the last one is a bit round, but you get the idea :).

The scene would probably look better with some ground/grass/dirt tiles and stuff too.

I like tr1p's but I need a little less dither going on, I think thats causing the cheese-ballness thats making me hungry.

Meh just open a sprite thread let donations occur and let the artist here strut there stuff.

I agree about the "cheeseballyness" of tr1p1ea's rocks, and dragon__lance's isn't bad. Any more entries?

Heheh... that's funny, I was thinking about drawing you a new rock before, but I didn't think you'd use it :)

So, I drew one, and the mockup:

(I think trip cheated by drawing three rocks, and they look like cheeseballs and a potato anyway )
