Smash Bros. source recovered!

Post by tr1p1ea »

After messing around with one of the busted HDD's again i decided to try the old drive in the freezer trick with the one drive that was clunking. I placed in the freezer for around 30 mins, put it back in my comp and bam! it worked long enough for me to recover the Smash Bros. source!

Yay! I'm so happy you were able to get your code back. I was worried I would never get to see this project finished. Since we're working on a similar project for the GBA, it interests me greatly.
I'm not mad, just a little crazy.

DarkNova - a little side project I run.

Really? I thought the trick was putting it in the oven. I guess that's why I never recovered data from my old mac ...

Me too, but that makes me think the dead drive was an elaborate setup.
