I didn't work on Tankies today, or yesterday, or.. I don't remember the last time I did. Oh well. Today I got bored and wanted to be artistic, so I made a spin off of Tankies in milkshape 3d.. whee:

Wow thats awesome! Especially for BASIC! ... hehehe ok j/k.

Tankies might make it to the PC one day, that would be sweet :).

Mmmm that would be very good for OOP....

public class Tankies {}

public class Tankie {}

public class Landscapie {}

etc etc etc

Another screenshot, with gameplay between the two tanks, and me rushing through the menus. I had to unrestrict speed limit so calccapture wouldn't crash (it always crashes after about 260 frames or so); it's a bit obvious where I did the skipping.

Looks cool. Is the skipping while the shell is in the air?

Yes, and during the loading screen, and in the middle of the tanks falling. Only did that so calccapture wouldn't crash.

Have you begun work on the AI yet?

The actual code, no. But the calculations have been done, so there really isn't much needed except a restructure of the code.

This game looks somewhat like Tanks Incoming. It was written in basic, and ran very well. It also had lot of interesting weapons. Here is a link:

yeah i was thinking about the explosions. they made no sense to me.. one line going across the screen like a radar refreshing the map.

hey r u planning on putting a thing like a pointer or line that shows the angle ur on? cause that always confuses me. i think im shooting one way when im shooting the complete other direction. (i think im shooting 45* when im actually shooting 135*..)
