Damn right they want my money. What does google want?

400/419 is shit unless it took 400/419 months, which it obviously didn't.

Well it's free as in "no money finds its way from your bank account to google" or does it? That they make money by selling your email address to spammers and by placing stupid ads everywhere is fine by me..

Hm, if you set up your Hotmail account a long time ago you can check it via Outlook (verified working in Outlook XP) via the "HTTP Mail" setting. (Edit, to clarify - this is if you created your Hotmail account before they started charging).

Live Mail Desktop is a good free client (currently in beta) that can check your Hotmail account and supports other mail boxes (IMAP/POP3).

Though I wonder why they needed 15.4MB for it..
