Knytt 1.0.2 - an game of adventure

Post by ProphetsDementia »

Has anyone here played the game 'Knytt' by Nifflas? It's a beautiful game. You control a small alien that resembles a monkey and you have to find some UFO parts for the ship that crash-landed on a planet (Earth maybe?)
Why search for the UFO parts? Because the alien pilot abducted Knytt and tried to go through some asteroids. Connect the dots.

Arrow keys move, 'S' jumps, and 'Q' shows what parts you have.
'Ctrl+R' kills yourself and restarts you at the last save point.
(Infinite lives BTW)

The game is completely silent in regards to talking but the music more than makes up for it.

I can't say anymore though.

Hint: Save! Save! Save! I can not stress this enough!
Hint: Knytt glows red when an enemy is nearby.
Hint: If you press 'A', Knytt will emit a light that points to the nearest UFO piece.
"Choice. The problem is choice."
"Quite correct. Strange; that was quicker than the others."
"Others?"

"In your case, this is the sixth version of the Matrix."
"Sixth version? Then, either no one told me or no one knew."

I downloaded this a while ago. Heard it was made with one of Clickteam's products.
You know your hexadecimal output routine is broken when it displays the character 'G'.

Ya, I beat this when it came out months ago. I never found all the secrets, but I did find some cool stuff. If you liked this, you should try Within A Deep Forest.

I played that too. Beautiful games Nifflas made.
