...sigh... OK, will do. This is annoying because it would normally install the USB stuff if it wasn't booting in fail-safe mode. At least linux will let you do it manually though, that's kinda nice... I'll let you know if I either get it to work, or give up.

Well, fail-safe mode is supposed to load the fewest drivers possible to boot the system. It isn't designed for constant use like you are attempting to put it through.
