Are you still going to help aspiring programmers who want to make RPGish games that are as good as yours? thinks DEM/DEMD/DEMZ

Is this priority after Xlib...or is this a distant goal...

Although I have never played it myself (for lack of calculator), I am extremely impressed with Desolate, just from watching somebody else play. 4 level greyscale and awesome sprites/graphics. I assume the game is rather long, but enjoyable. And I heard it was his first game! That's amazing!!!!

I would like to see a Desolate 2 made. However, it's really up tr1p1ea.

Ok so I lied neither do I :(, but I am excited for this, the secret (I wonder if it has anything to do with mgs or if it's in gs....), and xlib.

So, how/why do you program for one? :puzzled: I kind of assumed that everyone here had a calc.

Well, hey, if you want to program anyway, don't let me stop you. good luck :D

And I would love to see desolate 2. The first one is already one of my all-time-favorite calc games. :)

Pat doesn't have an any calcs to test on (I think the link ports are broken) and he makes stuff for them and uses a emulator.

I own a 89Ti (I should probably learn how to program in C for that. Maybe I should do that instead of z80 ASM. But I like the freedom of ASM better.) and my brother now owns my old 86.

I've been trying to learn how to develope 83+ASM games because almost everyone at my school has an 84+ or an 83+. But lately, the 89ti population at my school has nearly doubled. That might be one reason why I should be learn C instead.

Still, I've tested everything so far on the Flash Debugger SDK. Occassionally I borrow my math teachers silver USB cable and my friends 83+ blue edition (it's really a BE) and I test on a real calc.
This has been extremely inconvinient for me and I'd appreciate it if someone could help me configure a better emulator than the SDK.

Don't worry CompWiz, I still plan to help in N-Game and Diablo, but my prescense may be limited a lot by my lack of calc and 2 months (really 5 days) of ASM experience. It is also fortunate that the calc RPGs that I want to develope (DEM, DEMD, and DEMZ) are long term projects that I want to work on when I get either really good at C or 83+ ASM. Fortunately I've got tr1p1ea and you guys to help me learn more ASM.

And I thought you've seen some of my work? It's on my website.

Borrow a friend's calc and get the rom and use pindur, it's very easy.

Now I've got a ROM (v1.12 TI-OS) and the calc turns on just fine. For some reason, VTI v2.5 doesn't run the ION shell properly. I run Program A and it does nothing. I'll try Pindur later.

Um, did you try running prgmION first?

If you get Pindur, use mirage os, since that's what most people use anyway.

PindurTI is the BEST!!!

I finally got an animated screen shot of the Turkey Game! (way long overdue.) It's now on my site.

edit: now if only I could figure out how to get animated screenies of my 89Ti programs. :( :( :(

While Mirage may be more popular, that does not indicate in any way that it's better. Try CrunchyOS or NimbusOS. 8)
