I'm just worried that he probably gets a lot of people asking, and don't want to annoy him...

Joe has been very quiet lately. I've heard he has professed a plan to not release more screenies before the game is complete. I hope at least he is working on it fairly regularly. I'm too scared to ask him on AIM...

Hmm, ok, I was just wondering because I want to link to that one in the "about" section of my page. I might just rehost it myself.

Well, I'm glad to see someone actually visits my website regularly... I was joking, btw kevin. Of course I've never played any of your stuff, so I wouldn't really know. Oh yeah, while I'm on the topic, where can I find a direct link to the really long screenshot in the archive on ticalc? Is it just ...

Yes, I had not seen the RIP when I posted. Oh well... I guess I have to update my homepage to reflect the new state of things.

Yeah, from what I gather Joe has a lot of other stuff going on, I expect another 6 months to a year before a completed product is released. Imagine how most commercial games these days take a year or so, with a team of 10-30 programmers. Even the old NES games had huge long credits because so many p...

Not true! Kevin Oulette is still working on Diortem for the 83, and I am working on a 68k metroid. But I must say Joe's looks by far the coolest.

while it may have been an april fools joke, it does raise a good point. Copyrights are very important, and originality is always better. Although I too use metroid liberally, as I am making a metroid game, I will seek out originality in design where i can, to keep it as fresh as possible. There have...

Oh Joe, you big joker! Thanks for finally saying it, we'd all been waiting. I didn't know whether I should keep working on Metroid or not. Anyways, this is by far the best joke I've seen before, so good work! Now that you got us so worried, maybe you could post some new screens?

No, that would be stupid. Of course the 1-800 number is real. Check it out on nintendo.com, that's the copyright violation number. Anyways, other than that I havent gotten a cease and desist order, knowing full well that can't have missed mine and gotten Joe's, I have another much stronger piece of ...

Yeah, I've been looking around online for April fools jokes, but when I came here to check out the metroid forum and see if anyone had posted anything, I was surprised that I couldn't find it. Then I noticed the news article, then I thought "April Fools?", then I saw the letter, and hoped ...

I have looked at them, but they are still 32 bit sprites, whereas I need 16. I'll continue to look into it, but I did get a volunteer to try and make me new ones. Also, DA, That is pretty amazing!

No, but it doesnt look as good as creating them from scratch, because the old ones were made for a higher resolution.

I've wanted to do it for a while, and I'm excited about what I've got done, and especially what I've got planned. But I have to admit I'm far more excited about Joe's, because I don't already know what It's going to be like or what's going to happen, so it's a surprise. Besides, I love my 83 and rea...
