Is the background supposed to scroll in that direction? Looks like you are falling or going backwards.

You mean the one with the loading bar? Surely that's there for a purpose. I guess you could go to an old version of Java that didn't have such a splash.

Thanks for trying it out. I had a look at the original using dosbox, and so far only made one change based on it. That is when jumping, on the way up the board now tilts instead of on the way down, looks slightly better I think. I'm a bit torn between remaking the levels in more detail/higher resolu...

[PC] Skate

Does anyone remember Skate ? I started making a desktop version and thought I'd share it with everyone here. I wasn't sure where to put it so I'm trying sendspace for now: http://www.sendspace.com/file/9scnkc It's still work in progress, some things I want to add are: - Add the credits scroller (add...

It turns out I ended up using a friend's private forum, but I'll come back and post something when the game is in a better condition (it's covered in debug sprites and stuff).

Right now I'm still building up useful code pieces, like sprites, events, sound. Then I'll probably browse the current projects for ideas and most likely borrow sprites from a calc game (providing the owner doesn't mind). I like the look of the Zombie Attack game, but there aren't really enough spri...

I took a look at RevSoft forums, they look very similar to these ones. I already have an account here so I'm going to stay here.

On making PSP games

I was just wondering if the forum is considered strictly TI calc only, or if discussion on development for other handheld platforms is allowed. I remember several years ago Smoother was trying to make games on Palm OS. That's how I came across MC, last I heard Smoother had left though. Anyway, I rec...

Oh yeah! I almost forgot the more important part: collision decection. For this, you need to have a second map running that has your movement allowed data for tiles. The way I do it is, there are 16 different possible movement areas, based on the directions one can exit the stage. I just check befo...

Seems more than 2 months have passed. Are you getting the .com back? Edit: Hmm, was the old site http://www.maxcoderz.f2s.com? Yep, http://web.archive.org/web/20010723072303/http://www.maxcoderz.f2s.com/ In that case if anyone is looking for an ISP, since pipex bought f2s its at least 4 hops to anyw...

Can you update the links? Maybe delete the first half of the URL to make them relative. (It's sad to see MaxCoderz moving around like this).
